Creeperopolis (Creeperian – Creeperian: Ծրեեպերօպոլիս; Creeperian – Iberic: Creeperópolis; Creeperian pronunciation: [kri.peɾˈo.po.lis]), officially the Empire of Creeperopolis (Creeperian: Իմպերիո դե Ծրեեպերօպոլիս; Iberic: Imperio de Creeperópolis), is the largest nation in Sur and the 4th largest in the world by land area. Creeperopolis is bordered to the north by the Directorial Republic of Montcrabe, to the south by the Republic of Sequoyah and the Senvarian Sea, to the west by the Sea of Castilliano, the Kingdom of Salisford, and the Principality of El Salvador, and to the east by the Bay of Salvador and the Southern Ocean. Creeperopolis completely enclaves the client state and religious nation, artificially established by Creeperopolis, known officially as the State of the Church. Creeperopolis' capital and largest city is San Salvador located near the center of the country along the southern coast of Lake San Salvador and west of Lake Zapatista. As of 2020, Creeperopolis has a population of 532 million, making it the most populous nation in the world.
Creeperopolis is the world's second largest economy at ₡94.4 trillion colóns, second only to Quebecshire. The country continues to struggle with massive wealth inequality, rampant crime and crime rates, four ongoing internal armed conflicts, rampant government and corporate corruption, and unprecedented poverty rates of 20–25%. The official currency of Creeperopolis is the Creeperian colón and it has been since the relinquishment of the Creeperian Dollar following the 2003 Creeperian coup d'état. Creeperopolis has been commonly called terms such as a dictatorship, fascist, totalitarian, police state, and banana state, many of which have varying degrees of accuracy.
"Himno Imperial" (Creeperian: Հիմնո Րեալ, Creeperian pronunciation: [ˈimno impeɾiˈal]; literally "Imperial Anthem"), sometimes referred to by leftists during the Second Parliamentary Era as the "Monarchists' Anthem" (Creeperian – Iberic: "Himno de las'Monarquistas"), is the official national and royal anthem of Creeperopolis. The anthem, lasting over fourteen minutes in its entirety over seven verses, is one of the longest national anthems in the world.
The national anthem was written in 1844 by lyricist Juan Cañas Carmelo, and Juan Aberle Sforza composed the music in 1845. The same year, Emperor Adolfo III approved the "Himno Imperial" as the official national and royal anthem of Creeperopolis, relinquishing the previous anthem which had been in use since 1565. The Creeperian Crusade (Creeperian: Cruzada Creeperiano, Deltinian: الحملة الصليبية الزاحفة, transliterated as alhamlat alsalibiat alzzahifa) was a series of various military campaigns and religious wars initiated by the ethnic Creeperans of the Emirate of Rabadsun against the Deltinian Caliphate. The initial objective of the crusade was to secure the independence of the Kingdom of Creeperopolis and recapture all territory claimed to he "historic Creeperian land" that was controlled by the Kingdom of Creeperia (537AD–745AD) and the Creeperian Confederation (220BC–537AD).
The crusade began on 8 February 1231 when Alfawnasu III, the then-reigning Emir of the Emirate of Rabadsun, declared independence for the ethnic Creeperans living there after the decision made during the Second Council of Rabadsun. He proclaimed himself King of the Creeperans of the Kingdom of Creeperopolis. The declaration was made in response to the One-Religion Decree established by Sahar III, the Caliph of the Deltinian Caliphate, on 31 January 1231. The decree outlawed the practicing of any religion that was not Deltinian Islam, effectively creating a theocracy with no religious freedom. The decree, therefore, outlawed the practicing of Creeperian Catholicism, the religion of the Creeperian people. The Creeperans had until 9 February to renounce their faith.
