A general election was held in Creeperopolis on 15 May 1897 where voters elected all 350 members of the National Parliament of Creeperopolis (commonly referred to in Creeperopolis as the Second Parliament).

In the 1896 election, no coalition won a majority and the National Conservative Party formed a minority government under Prime Minister Macos Espiga Mina. In February 1897, the National Centrist Party withdrew its support from Espiga Mina's government, and Espiga Mina called for a snap election to prevent the National Liberal Party from electing Inhué Ordóñez Yepes as prime minister.

The Popular Front won the most seats and Ordóñez Yepes was elected as prime minister.
