Prime Minister after election

Inhué Ordóñez Yepes
National Liberal Party

General elections were held in Creeperopolis from 19 to 22 December 1887. Voters elected all 30 members to the country's newly-established National Parliament (commonly referred to as the Second Parliament).

Only two parties participated in the election — the center-left National Liberal Party (PLN) and the center-right National Conservative Party (PCN) — and both parties were the primary advocates for the democratization of Creeperopolis during the late 1880s. The election was held with the approval of Emperor Gustavo I who had assumed power on 1 December 1887 upon the death of Emperor Adolfo III.

The election was very limited in scope. There were officially only 113,418 registered voters in a country of over 250 million people, and all registered voters resided in only three of the country's twenty-one captaincy generals; those captaincy generals were Adolfosburgo, San Luís, and San Salvador, all located in central Creeperopolis. The parliament's 30 seats were distributed evenly between the three captaincy generals. The PLN won the most seats and its leader, Inhué Ordóñez Yepes, became Prime Minister.

After the election, a series of protests and riots erupted across the country due to discontent at the limited scope of the election, opposition to the results of the election, and opposition to the restoration of democracy. The protests and riots led to Ordóñez Yepes calling for a snap election, and the Creeperian government held a nationwide general election in 1888, the first in Creeperian history since the partially-recognized 1740 general election held by the Republic of Creeperopolis during the Republican War.
