Almadinat Almuqadasa (Deltinian: المدينة المقدسة, transliteration: ạl̊-Madīnaẗu ạl̊-Muqadãsaẗu; Deltinian for "The Sacred City"), also written as al-Madinat al-Muqadasa and al-Madinah al-Muqadasa, also known in Creeperian as the Deltinian Capital (Creeperian: Ծապիտալ Դելտինիանո; Iberic: Capital Deltiniano), was a medieval city located in modern-day San Luís, Creeperopolis, along the coast of Lake San Salvador which served as the capital city of the Deltinian Caliphate from 875 until its destruction in 1326. It was also historically the most populous city of Deltino, peaking at population of around 225,000 people by 1234. It was the political, religious, cultural, educational, and financial center of Deltino throughout its existence.
History
Establishment
The city was called "The Sacred City" because the Deltinians who founded it traditionally held that when the city was established on 9 June 875, Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammad appeared Caliph Asfandyar V zawi Plar Khawaja and told him that the Deltinian branch of Islam was the one true branch Islam, that the Muslims of the Kashiludun Caliphate, modern day Greater Sacramento, are false Muslims worshipping a false god, and commanded him to build a city at that location. The city was located on the shores of Lake Ludez to the west and was straddled by the Aljibal Almuqadasa mountain range to the east.
Destruction
The city was destroyed on 13 June 1326 after it fell to Creeperian forces after a two-year long siege as a part of the Creeperian Crusade. The city was rebuilt and is now modern-day La'Victoria in the viceroyalty of San Luís.
