The 2025 New Illyrian national budget was presented by Marshall of Congress Eoardio Fonteio to the Congress of New Illyricum and ratified on March 2, 2025. The budget was highly controversial and its passage required extensive negotiations between the opposition Vanguardist Party (AP) and the ruling Democratic Party (DP). The budget passed a month behind schedule due in large part by failures from both AP and DP party leadership to come to a consensus. The budget saw the continued rise of defense spending, as well as an increase in education and law enforcement spending. The budget also saw decreases in the environmental protection, infrastructure, and welfare sectors.
