Georgia O'Concannon is the lead driver for Paleocacher's Gran-Prix One racing team, Moffatt Dealbh-lìn International Motorsport. She is the first and so far only woman to win the Grand-Prix One World Driver's Championship. She won the title six times in the 2011, 2012, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020 seasons. She is also the first Paleocacherian to win a Grand Prix championship, but not the first Paleocacherian driver to win a Grand Prix race. She was born in 1986 in a working-class family in Kilkenny. As a child she participated in soapbox derby racing and helped repair and modify cars at a family owned shop located in the city's northern suburbs. From the ages of 14 to the age of 19 she received twenty-six citations from Kilkenny Municipal Police for speed and reckless driving violations. O'Concannon was first scouted for professional racing whilst engaged in a drag event at the Kilkenny Derby raceway. Shortly after graduating high school she raced for a local sponsor in regional events and for the Kilkenny Technical College's race team. After graduating in 2006 from the college with a degree in automotive engineering, she began driving full time at the Kilkenny Derby.
Personal life
Georgia O'Concannon came out in 2013 and is in a civil union with her partner. They have two adopted children. When she is not on tour, O'Concannon lives with her family in Kilkenny.
Junior career
O'Concannon was a rally driver and open-wheel racing driver, for the Kilkenny Administrative Region on the Paleocacherian Domestic Formula Circuit. Several Paleocacherian states or administrative region have teams with regional corporate sponsors. Her professional racing career started in 2007 and she was scouted several times by different teams, but stayed with the local team.
Gran-Prix One
Georgia O'Concannon was scouted by Moffatt in March 2010 as a replacement for Samuel McKean who was due to retire at the end of the season, she trained intensively for the next eight months and made her debut at the 2011 Rakhmani Grand Prix, in which she got fourth place. She was the first rookie to win a driver's championship in 20 years.
